BBQ Rub Recipe

Our trip to Austin, TX last summer has me craving BBQ all the time. But unfortunately, living in the midwest, my options for really great BBQ are pretty much non-existent.

And since I am not quite as dedicated to the process as those who BBQ their meat for hours and hours, I decided that I wanted to try to replicate the flavors without needing a big time commitment.

This Spicy and Sweet BBQ Rub Recipe is perfect to use on any meat whether you BBQ it for hours or cook it quicker on the grill. It has the perfect combination of spicy and sweet and a little goes a long way.

Just sprinkle a bit on both sides of your prefered meat and BBQ or grill it until fully cooked. Top it with your favorite BBQ sauce and the end and enjoy a delicious and flavorful meal.

The key to this recipe is making sure you use Smoked Paprika. It adds a delicious smokey flavor that is incredible.

The cayenne adds a bit of heat. And the brown sugar adds a sweet touch that makes this completely irresistible.

This BBQ rub starts off sweet and ends with a bit of heat. The smokey flavoradds a gentle hint of BBQ even if you don't BBQ it.

I love to make this in a big batch and store it in an air-tight container for use later. But today I am sharing a small batch recipe with you so that you can easily make it once and then when you become hooked on it, you can make a big batch of it.

I add all the ingredients into a bowl and mix them together with a fork to get out any clumps that may form from the brown sugar.

When you are ready to use it, just sprinkle it on your meat and then pat it onto your meat to help it stay.

BBQ or grill your meat as desired and then top it with your favorite BBQ sauce.

Don't worry I am sharing my BBQ Sauce recipe soon. There is nothing in the world as good as homemade BBQ Sauce and this rub pairs with it perfectly!

So let's get to it, shall we?
